Job SummaryYour code will go to sea.As a Software Engineer at SEACORP, you will help design, build, and test thesoftware and data systems behind the Submarine Warfare Federated TacticalSystems (SWFTS) program: the integrated combat system used across the U.S. Navysubmarine fleet. You will join a multidisciplinary team of SEACORP andgovernment engineers who develop the services that move, store, and deliverdata for some of the most advanced platforms in the world.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, code, test, integrate, and document software solutions in languages such as Java, Python, and C++.
  • Develop databases, middleware, APIs, and prototypes in support of Navy data systems.
  • Work on problems with defined scope, schedule, and expectations.
  • Participate in an Agile team, consisting of daily scrums, two-week sprints, quarterly program increments, demonstrations, and retrospectives.
  • Use professional engineering tools, including Git, Linux, and the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, etc).
  • Learn modern data, cloud, and AI-assisted development technologies on the job, with guidance from the team that runs them.
