As a Staff Software Engineer, you will lead the design and delivery of scalable platform capabilities, driving the full software development lifecycle from coding to deployment and maintenance. You will apply cloud-native architecture principles to enhance system resilience and agility while integrating AI/ML technologies to advance intelligent automation. This role requires strong technical leadership, mentoring, and collaboration across teams to ensure alignment with strategic goals. You will champion engineering excellence through rigorous design reviews, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement to support business objectives and innovation.

The team advances Walmart US Payroll systems through innovative design, enhancement, and maintenance. Collaborating across functions, members support payroll transformation to ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery for a large workforce. The group emphasizes scalable solutions, system performance optimization, and resolving complex challenges. Utilizing Agile methodology and SAP expertise, the team drives continuous improvement and operational excellence. It fosters a professional environment focused on business goals, leveraging technical skills such as API design, DevOps, and cloud-native architecture, while maintaining high standards in software development and project management to support Walmart’s mission.
