Staff Software Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and supporting enterprise workloads on cloud platforms. This role focuses on hands on engineering across infrastructure, automation, and operations to ensure cloud environments are secure, scalable, and production ready. The engineer partners closely with Cloud Enablement, security, infrastructure, and application teams to deliver standardized cloud capabilities that support enterprise application modernization and data platforms.

Required qualifications:

  • 7+ years of software development experience in enterprise/web applications
  • 5+ years of experience as full stack developer in Java-based technologies including microservices and spring boot framework /REST
  • 5+ years of experience Cloud Technologies like Azure, GCP or other public cloud services and Knowledge of open-source packages especially those provided by Apache, Google, and Spring
  • 3+ years of experience in Agile development practices

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience supporting early stage enterprise cloud platforms
  • Experience with container platforms (Ex. OpenShift, AKS, GKE)
  • Experience supporting application modernization or cloud migration initiatives

Education

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$118,450.00 - $236,900.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
