Role Summary

We are seeking a Development Project Manager to lead the end-to-end development process for new site construction and major site enhancements. This role is instrumental in ensuring projects move efficiently from concept through permitting and into construction while balancing cost, risk, and timeline considerations.

You will oversee entitlements, civil engineering design, permitting, and consultant management while serving as a key connector across real estate, construction, and engineering teams. Your ability to anticipate challenges, optimize designs, and maintain compliance will directly impact project success and overall portfolio growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full development lifecycle of new site construction projects, from entitlement through permitting and handoff to construction
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, critical paths, and strategic plans to ensure efficient execution
  • Lead civil engineering design processes by coordinating with external consultants and ensuring alignment with company standards
  • Secure zoning approvals, variances, permits, and required municipal approvals in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Oversee consultant relationships, including civil, geotechnical, and permitting partners, ensuring quality, cost control, and accountability
  • Prepare and manage detailed project cost estimates, identifying risks and opportunities for value engineering
  • Review and interpret geotechnical reports, providing recommendations and cost-effective design alternatives
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external parties on utilities, easements, contracts, and regulatory compliance
  • Support construction teams by resolving design and permitting issues and minimizing project risk and liability
Key Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in civil engineering, site development, or construction project management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related accredited program
  • Strong knowledge of civil design, geotechnical engineering, and site development processes
  • Experience managing permitting, zoning, and regulatory approval processes across multiple jurisdictions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, MS Office, and AutoCAD (Civil 3D preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience managing external consultants and negotiating professional service agreements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess cost and risk
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
