You’ll spend part of your time guiding architectural decisions and overseeing code quality, while also focusing on coaching, mentoring, and supporting your team’s professional growth. Effective delegation, setting clear priorities, and maintaining open communication with both developers and stakeholders are key to managing these dual responsibilities. Many managers also work closely with product managers, QA, and other departments to ensure alignment across projects.

Job description

We are looking for an SDET to help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our web applications. You should be passionate about investigating complex systems, approaching problems from both the user and engineering perspectives, and collaborating closely with developers throughout the software development lifecycle.

You will be responsible for validating new features across both the frontend and backend, designing comprehensive test strategies, automating where needed, and helping build quality into every release.

Must-haves:
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in Software Development Engineering for Test(SDET) for web applications.

  • Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.

  • Significant experience writing and maintaining automated tests using tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar.

  • Experience testing both web UIs and REST APIs.

  • Knowledge of browser developer tools and HTTP concepts.

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, etc.).

  • Experience working with bug tracking and project management tools such as Jira.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information.
