The OpenText Cloud Platform (OCP) is a next-generation Information Management as a Service platform powering the OpenText Core family of multi-tenant Software as a Service (SaaS) applications and Information Management Services. It provides secure, highly scalable multi-tenant architecture, enabling clients and partners to digitize operations and integrate information management capabilities into their business applications.

This position is based in the OpenText office in Richmond Hill/ Waterloo, Canada.

Your Impact:

The OCP Platform team is seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Manager to lead the development and delivery of our cloud-native Information Management Services. SaaS Applications, working in partnership with Product Management, Architecture and the Cloud Operations teams. This is a critical leadership role for a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of cloud-native architecture, multi-tenancy, and the complexities of delivering enterprise-grade services at scale. You will be responsible for shaping and executing the product strategy, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of our platform's APIs and SaaS applications. The role will also be at the forefront of our AI-led development strategy to evolve our Platform's core capabilities and Service offerings.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the teams to ensure technical quality and efficient use of resources. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and within agreed-upon quality standards. Work closely with cross-functional teams within OpenText and partner with key stakeholders. This is a tremendous opportunity to get in and shape the direction of the next generation of developer tools and environments that OpenText is building for OCP developers.

  • Strategic Leadership:Define and articulate the long-term vision and strategy for OCP Platform.
  • API & Service Design:Oversee the design and implementation of robust, scalable, and secure API services that power our multi-tenant SaaS applications. This includes defining the strategy to ensure services are consumable and monetizable by our clients and partners internally and externally.
  • Product Delivery:Drive the end-to-end lifecycle of our cloud services, from concept and design to development, deployment, and ongoing optimization. Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards while driving client satisfaction. Build and maintain strong internal and external client relationships while fostering innovation and process improvement.
  • AI-Led Evolution:Drive the adoption of AI internally by product teams to increase productivity, integration into the platform's architecture and services, ensuring our information management capabilities are intelligent, predictive, and automated.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:Partner with Product Management, Architecture, Operations, Release Management, and cross-functional teams to ensure effective project delivery and adoption by different business units
  • Technology & Architecture:Provide technical leadership and guidance on cloud-native technologies, architectural patterns, and best practices to ensure the platform remains modern and competitive.
  • Team Management:Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of developers and product professionals to achieve sprint/release goals, facilitate planning, stand-ups and retrospectives. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Support team development, career progression, and organizational change initiatives to enhance delivery methodologies.
  • Financial Management:Manage the budget and resource allocation for your team and projects, ensuring efficient and effective use of company resources.
  • Risk Management:Provide visibility on risks/impediments, ensure timely reporting, and drive resolution for delivery success.

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's or master's in computer science (MS CS) or equivalent experience with extensive industry engineering background, including management/project management.
  • Proven experience in delivering and managing large-scale, multi-tenant, cloud-native platforms services or SaaS Applications, embracing DevSecOps (GitLab/GitHub)
  • Proven expertise in SaaS/Cloud Development, Kubernetes, and Hyperscalers (GCP/AWS/Azure).
  • Demonstrated experience with cloud service delivery models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong experience in JAVA application design and development, including Spring Framework/ SpringBoot and API-first software development.
  • Deep understanding of Agentic AI development practices, with hands-on experience in leveraging AI systems to accelerate design, development, testing, and operations.
  • Ability to thoughtfully integrate AI-driven development practices into enterprise development environments with appropriate guardrails, governance, and quality controls.
  • Agile project management training and hands-on delivery experience.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, facilitation, and collaborative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of security, compliance, and governance in a cloud environment.
  • Ability to lead geographically dispersed teams, fostering motivation, planning, and delivery success.
