Responsibilities

Under general supervision, this position supports community development activities and initiatives aimed at serving underserved communities in alignment with organizational goals. The Community Development Intern will collect and review data, compile information and maintain databases and assist with research efforts. Provides administrative support and event support as needed.

Internship to start Fall 2026.ย 

Competitive pay starting at $20/hr.Must be enrolled at University of South Florida, University of Tampa, or University of South Carolina to qualify for a Grow Financial internship.ย Start date: Monday, September 14th,Tuesday, September 15th, or Wednesday September 16thOrientation Friday September 18thWe do not interview or hire students in F-1 or J-1 status and will not sponsor them for work visas.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Must be currently enrolled as a student pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Successful completion of an analytics course required.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience with Visio or other visualization tools preferred. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interface with credit union personnel.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to learn complex skills or software with minimal supervision.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of 25 pounds without assistance (or with reasonable accommodation).
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and type English.
  • Must be able to hear and use a telephone.
  • Use of computer requires repetitive keystrokes.

Work Environment:

  • Hybrid (office and remote) work environment. This role reports to Grow HQ in Tampa, FL, 2 days per week.ย 
  • As part of your role, you may occasionally travel to other branches or locations as needed.
  • Must be able and willing to collaborate on camera via Microsoft Teams and Cisco WebEx.
  • Standard Business hours are 8:00am- 5:00pm, Monday- Friday
  • Interns will have flexibility around school schedules. Please note schedule will not exceed 29hrs/week
