Job Duties

This position develops and delivers training and organizational services to Department of Corrections Community Corrections personnel. This position evaluates training curriculum and training needs of target audience and aligns these with agency business practices. Telework eligibility for this position is determined in accordance with agency policy and operational needs. The incumbent may also be required to travel to additional training locations to support agency training programs, operational activities, and instructional delivery requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of community corrections practices. Knowledge of the adult learning model and effective in-person and virtual facilitation skills. Ability to participate in physical training of established training programs. Demonstrated competence in design, development and delivery of training. Demonstrated skills using computer and computer software. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

Additional Considerations

Experience working in an adult community corrections setting. Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) General Instructor Certification, Defensive Tactics Instructor Certification, Firearms Instructor Certification.
