Job description

Bilingual (French and English) Senior Consultant, Software & Strategic Solutions

The Senior Consultant, Software & Strategic Solutions is the technical lead for post sales consulting engagements of Ricoh's solutions portfolio, primarily around Web Storefront and Integrated Workflow Solutions.  Additionally, the Consultant will be a subject matter expert in specific areas of the business such as workflow optimization and adoption of key workflow solutions. The Consultant is a key member to the account team and is expected to be the customer's trusted advisor throughout the customer engagement. The Customer will be engaged early in a sales cycle to assist the Solution Development Manager as required. The primary focus of this role is to ensure the successful implementation of the purchased solution(s) and assure the integration within the customer environment that improves a customer's workflow, reduces cost and drives 100% customer satisfaction during solution implementation. The Consultant is also a crucial part of the account team to achieve professional services revenue and gross profit plan attainment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Achievement of assigned professional services and consulting revenue and utilization targets
  • Support Solution Development Managers in pre-sales and closing billable workflow consulting engagements
  • Assure the successful implementation of the project and assure the integration within the customer environment that improves a customer's workflow, reduces cost and drives 100% customer satisfaction during solution implementation.
  • Assist the Practice Director with developing Statement of Work documents as needed
  • Function as the project lead in client Discovery activities, providing guidance and direction to the team and Area resources (if applicable) assigned to support the engagement
  • Assist with Practice with development activities as needed
  • Identify new solution opportunities based on client feedback, industry analysis, and new features incorporated into existing offerings
  • Attain profitable engagements as defined by the services fee and Change Control methodology presented in the Statement of Work
  • Drives post-sales implementation follow-up independent of Sales with goal of ensuring 100% customer satisfaction and uncovering additional workflow and application opportunities. 
  • Assists assigned Project Manager in project managing solutions implementation projects and coordinates with Ricoh, customer, and third-party resources. Ensures seamless transition from installation to post-install field service support. 
  • Responsible for ongoing personal sales, technical, and business skill development through the attainment of appropriate certifications and attendance at training 
  • Maintains knowledge of industry and competitive developments as applicable to local markets and position responsibilities. 
  • Continued Education on a broad array of solution enablers and goal to become a subject matter expert in Web2Print, VDP, data streams, workflow, finishing, etc.
  • Comply with RICOH's standard event documentation and control policies

Qualifications: 

Required:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science / information technology or equivalent experience 
  • Experience in pre-sales and post-sales solutions implementation in environments and/or industry related experience, or the demonstration of the ability to acquire required skills.
  • Strong face to face customer selling, negotiation, and relationship skills. 
  • Bilingual - French and English preferred 
  • Prior experience working in an operation or environment preferred
  • G7 and CMP Certifications
  • Six Sigma Certification
  • JDF Certifications preferred
