Job description

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD
  • US Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • Security Plus SEC+ certification required
  • Must be on site at Worldgate office in Herndon.
  • Minimum 3 years hands-on experience developing Java EE applications on Weblogic Application Server for highly available, 24x7, and scalable systems on Linux/Unix platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems including knowledge of data modeling concepts, ERD design and development .
  • Strong experience in developing enterprise Java solutions following standard/best practices including Object Oriented Analysis and Design and design patterns.
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge on Software Development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile/Scrum)
  • Demonstrated Analytical and Problem Solving skills
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Excellent programming skills in Java and Java EE.
  • Excellent knowledge of Java and object oriented programming.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Servlets, JNDI, JDBC, JUnit, Maven, SOAP/Restful, XML, XSD, Spring JPA, Spring Framework, Spring Batch Framework, Angular 15 or above, HTML, JavaScript, SQL, GITLab and Eclipse.

Peraton is seeking a Software Engineer.

This position is located inHerndon, VA.

The position will perform the following duties, but not limited too:
  • Conducts research in design, development, testing and utilization of electronic data processing software.
  • Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
  • Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
  • Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
  • Ensures software standards are met.
  • Analyzes user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
  • Confere with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and others to design system and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
  • Designs, develops, and modifies software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design.
  • Coordinates software system installations and monitors equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met.
