Job description


The Process Dev Engineering Scientific Associate will be part of a team responsible for process development and optimization, as well as characterization of cell product for ongoing and future projects.
The key responsibilities that the candidate will be focused is described as follows:
  • Perform routine stem cell isolation processes by using automated cell processing system
  • Support execution of lab-based Process Development activities and experiments
  • Prepare related media and buffers in a sterile aseptic environment
  • Generate samples for analytical assays and coordinate with Analytical team to plan timely analysis
  • Maintain detailed and organized electronic lab notebook to document lab activities
  • Write reports summarizing procedures, experiments, and data
  • Present experiment design, data, and updates internally to the team
  • Must demonstrate strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of scientists and engineers
    Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical sciences with 0-2+ years of relevant work or lab experience.
  • Hands-on experience in aseptic techniques, cell handling, cell culturing, media and buffer preparation is preferrable
  • Solid foundation in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ect.) - experience with other scientific software such as JMP, GraphPad Prism, etc., are a bonus.
  • Must be able to proactively communicate with the team, be organized, and maintain accurate records.
  • Basic experience in statistical analysis, creating graphs, writing protocols and reports and presenting data in scientific manner.
  • HSC isolation and culture experience
  • Have experiences on Prodigy, Rotea, Electroporation, Cytiva Sefia,
  • Have experience on data analysis with JMP

Contract Length: 6 months with the chance to extend.
Pay Range
$30-$33/hr
Shift/Hours
Monday-Friday; occasional weekend availability required.
