Job description

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Sr. AI Developer - Remote for a contract assignment with one of our premier Healthcare Services clients in FL . This role will be remote.
Responsibilities :
Seeking a Senior AI Developer to help build the next generation of intelligent unstructured data management and intelligent document processing (IDP) solutions for our enterprise. You will have a voice throughout the full development lifecycle, from concept through deployment, of cloud-native systems that securely manage, process, and enable unstructured data at enterprise scale.
This is a strategic technical role that combines AI engineering, backend development, and enterprise data architecture. You will work with AWS (Bedrock, S3, compute), Snowflake, agentic AI frameworks (AgentCore, LangGraph, etc.), automation-to-automation (A2A) solutions, and workflow orchestration platforms to deliver transformative capabilities across the organization.
  • Develop AI-Enabled IDP Solutions: Build intelligent document processing pipelines that extract, classify, and enrich unstructured data using modern AI/ML approaches
  • Cloud Architecture & Implementation: Design and implement scalable, secure solutions leveraging AWS (S3, compute, networking), Snowflake data platforms, and related managed services
  • Agentic AI & Automation: Develop and integrate autonomous agents using frameworks like AgentCore and LangGraph to process and route enterprise data with minimal human intervention
  • Workflow Orchestration: Design and implement complex, production-grade workflows using orchestration frameworks; ensure reliability, auditability, and compliance
  • Backend & Service Development: Build synchronous and asynchronous services, APIs, and microservices that support document ingestion, processing, and downstream consumption
  • Data Governance & Security: Apply data management principles, such as cataloging, lineage, retention, data protection, with healthcare compliance (HIPAA) and security as a foundational requirement
  • Mentorship & Collaboration: Partner with data engineers, platform teams, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions; mentor junior engineers
Required Skills :
  • Related Bachelor's degree or related work experience
  • 5+ years related work experience, Professional experience with technical design and coding in the IT industry
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 2 years focused on AI/ML development or data engineering in production environments
  • Proficiency in backend/service development: Demonstrated expertise building scalable APIs, microservices, or event-driven systems
  • Cloud platform expertise: Hands-on experience with AWS (S3, EC2, or similar) and modern data warehouses (Snowflake or similar)
  • AI/ML development: Experience building, training, deploying, and operationalizing AI models; including working knowledge of LLMs, foundation models, prompt engineering, RAG architectures, and agentic frameworks.
  • Workflow orchestration: Proven experience with AWS Step Functions, Apache Airflow, Temporal, or equivalent orchestration tools in production
  • Data management fundamentals: Strong grasp of data modeling, pipeline architecture, quality assurance, and governance principles
  • Enterprise software practices: Comfortable with CI/CD, testing, code review, security best practices, and regulatory compliance (healthcare experience a strong plus)
