React Software Developer

Location: Laurel, MD
Schedule: Full-Time, Primarily On-Site
Telework: Up to One Day Per Week
Clearance Required: TS/SCI with Polygraph

SITEC Consulting is seeking a React Software Developer to support the sustainment, modernization, and enhancement of enterprise business applications in a secure mission environment. This role will focus on maintaining and improving a production collaboration and workflow application that supports critical business processes and information exchange.

The ideal candidate is a front-end developer with strong React experience, solid JavaScript or TypeScript skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with engineers, testers, product stakeholders, and end users. This is a great opportunity for a developer who enjoys improving user experience, supporting operational systems, and balancing production support with new enhancement development.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a React Software Developer supporting a production enterprise application.
  • Develop, test, and implement application enhancements, bug fixes, and usability improvements.
  • Maintain and enhance React-based user interfaces supporting registration, tracking, workflow management, reporting, and business process functions.
  • Troubleshoot application issues, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Translate user feedback and business requirements into scalable, maintainable front-end solutions.
  • Integrate front-end components with backend services and APIs.
  • Apply modern front-end development practices using React, JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and component-based design patterns.
  • Collaborate with systems engineers, developers, testers, and stakeholders to support releases and deployments.
  • Participate in Agile activities, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, estimation, and release preparation.
  • Manage priorities independently while balancing operational support and development work.
Required Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and six years of software development or software engineering experience.
  • Ten years of software development or engineering experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with JavaScript or CSS frameworks such as React or Bootstrap.
  • Willingness and ability to pivot between front-end frameworks as needed.
  • Working understanding of SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Ability to work core hours of 10:00 AM-2:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Desired Skills
  • Experience with GitLab.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Node.js, or Angular.
  • Experience supporting production applications in secure or enterprise environments.
