Belay Technologies is seeking a versatile Software Developer to design, develop, automate, and maintain scalable infrastructure and software solutions. This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working across the software and infrastructure stack and has hands-on experience with Python and/or PowerShell, Linux, Dell hardware, and automation. Experience with Kubernetes, containerized workloads, and/or Ansible is a bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop scripts and tools to automate tasks and improve system efficiency
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and automated software/infrastructure deployments.
  • Administer, troubleshoot, and automate Linux-based systems and environments.
  • Deploy, configure, manage, and troubleshoot Kubernetes environments.
  • Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and automation workflows.
  • Automate provisioning, configuration, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management of infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across applications, operating systems, containers, networking, and hardware.
  • Collaborate with software, infrastructure, systems, and operations teams to implement reliable solutions.
  • Document technical solutions, procedures, configurations, and operational processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, scalability, performance, and security.

Required Technical skills include experience with:

  • Linux
  • AWS and VMs
  • Docker Swarm
  • Deployments of distributed web
    • Applications (e.g. GitLab CI/CD):
    • Terraform scripting and VMProvisioning:
    • Ansible scripting and development Through understanding of Docker & Docker Compose container technology
      Git


Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI with polygraph
  • Strong programming/scripting experience with Python and/or PowerShell.
  • Hands-on experience administering Linux systems.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, containerized workloads, and experience with ansible is a bonus.
  • Strong understanding of automation, configuration management, and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
  • Experience troubleshooting systems across software, operating system, and infrastructure layers.
  • Experience working with physical servers or data-center infrastructure, preferably Dell hardware.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Prior CNO experience, desired
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional engineering teams.

Desired technical skills include experience with:

  • Bash scripting and development
  • Elasticsearch maintenance and
  • Configuration

    •  Java / Spring Boot (troubleshooting error logs)
    HAProxy
    MongoDB

Salary Range: $165,000.00 to $230,000.00
