Our Fortune 500 media client seeks a Software Developer to help build the next-generation, cloud-based content distribution pipeline on AWS for global partner delivery. You will work end to end across product goals, solution design, architecture, development, integration, deployment, and support. The platform provides media file transformation and content distribution through a single integration point that leverages globally distributed storage and transcoding. Initial impact areas include migrating facility-based workloads to a cloud-native, serverless platform and integrating third-party SaaS and PaaS solutions.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $60.00 to $65.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance, and highly available systems.
  • Write well-tested, efficient, and readable Python code with reusable structure.
  • Apply best practices for source control and CI/CD.
  • Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Align solutions with team deliverables and produce documentation for knowledge sharing.
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings and complete assigned tasks.
Experience Requirements:
  • 10+ years of production Python development.
  • 5+ years of production AWS experience. AWS certifications preferred.
  • Relational database design and interaction experience with SQL Server. DynamoDB experience a plus.
  • Serverless and ephemeral compute experience with AWS Lambda and ECS, and orchestration with AWS Step Functions.
  • Event-driven architectures with queues and topics.
  • Design pattern identification and implementation.
  • Git, unit testing, TDD, and CI/CD proficiency.
  • Cloud resource definition, packaging, and deployment with Serverless Framework or AWS CDK.
  • Familiarity with agile practices including standups, planning, estimating, and demos.
  • Nice to have: AI and ML experience, including LLM integrations and AI-assisted development.
  • Experience with media file container formats and media or video engineering a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
