JOB TITLE: Logistics Operations - Software Consultant

FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

DEPARTMENT: Professional Services

REPORTS TO: Senior Director Professional Services

REVISION DATE: 6/25/2026

SUMMARY: Software Consultants are responsible for the implementation of Magaya products and solutions in addition to mentoring and growing the team. They oversee and support multiple customers with their implementation/consulting projects. The Software Consultant reviews external client product demands, develops project plans and solutions. The software consultant ensures that implementations are completed on time, within budget, and meet client expectations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement Magaya products and solutions for new customers. Applying past operational expertise to improve customer experience and value.
  • Manage, train, and mentor the greater Professional Services team.
  • Coach and evaluate implementation work.
  • Project Management: Oversees and supports project plans and ensures that implementations are completed on time, within budget, and meets client expectations.
  • Collaborate with solutions developer team and ensure compliance with all client requirements and provide appropriate training to clients and ensure efficient implementation of all solutions and modules.
  • Report to management status of all ongoing projects and issues.
  • Guarantee department processes execution.
  • Performs other related duties assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

At 2-5 years of experience in the related area as an individual contributor or leader:

  • International Freight Forwarding and Consolidations
  • Warehousing, Supply Chain, 3PL Provider
  • NVO Consolidations (Ocean and Air)
  • Experience operating or implementing Customs Compliance ,Supply Chain Management,3PL and International Freight Forwarding software a huge plus (examples Magaya,CargoWise,GoFreight,Descartes, Flex Cargo)
  • Accounting Functions related to managing a logistics operation (P&L, AR/AP, Ops Bonus and Shipment margin, International Tax, Foreign Exchange)
  • Organizational change/Change Management
  • Well Rounded in Operational Processes: (Inventory Management, Purchase Order Management, Work Order/Project, Quote to Booking, Pricing, Warehousing, Storage Rules, Billing/Rating/Costing, Compliance, Foreign Agent/Agent Operations)
  • Ability to propose creative technical and/or operations solutions to challenging problems and communicate technical and operational concepts and specifications clearly and efficiently.
  • Ability to work with a variety of customers from different departments in large and small groups.
  • Adaptable to various work settings and able to serve in an advisory leadership role.
  • Strong personal initiative and ability to execute with minimal oversight.
  • Computer skills required: Microsoft Office, Project Management Software, Salesforce, JavaScript preferred.
  • Proficiency in English (additionallanguageproficiencya plus–Spanish, French, etc.…)
