IDEALFORCE has a Contract-To-Hire position available immediately for a Software Configuration Manager to join our customer in Phoenix Arizona This is an ONSITE position and only LOCAL CANDIDATES are considered. Job Description

Configuration Management (CM) is the control of processes and tools that provide team members with the proper version and configuration to complete their work for projects. This includes rigorous change control procedures to ensure the integrity of both the programs and the configuration settings developed to support the solution. Additionally, the Configuration and Change Manager will work closely with the project managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to define the configuration management plan that defines the process for identification of configuration items to be controlled for the project. All configuration entities, such as hardware, software, and data or documents, which have the ability to evolve in status during the course of the project's life-cycle, will be tracked.   
This position need to perform the following activities: 
-Install and configure configuration management (CM) tools/software 
-Perform administration tasks in the support of the software 
-Develop tools/utilities/scripts to assist in CM tasks 
-Perform builds of software applications 

Qualifications


Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a configuration manager for large software applications 
-Experience installing and configuring version control /source code control systems and issue tracking systems 
-Troubleshooting experience - individual must be able to quickly diagnose issues reported by production and non-production users and provide resolution 
-Experience with scripting for automated installation/maintenance/builds of applications 
-Ability to work independently on projects with minimal direction 
-Strong interpersonal skills and effective team player 
-Good verbal/written communication skills 
-Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and modules is a plus 
-Experience with Web Sphere application server is a plus. 
-Experience in Java and Maven based environments is a plus. 
-Strong customer service skills 
-Strong organization and coordination skills 
-Excellent problem determination skills 
-Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills 
-Demonstrated ability to plan, monitor, and report on configuration management activities 
-Must be able to train others in configuration management requirements processes and the tools 
-Demonstrated ability to evaluate and test emerging technologies 
-Demonstrated ability to balance, prioritize and organize multiple tasks 
-Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in teams and across organizations 
-Demonstrated ability to synthesize feedback and adjust plans accordingly 
-Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships inside and outside the organization 
-Demonstrated ability to apply creative solutions to problems to ensure business needs are most effectively met
