Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Configuration Analyst - Level 2 to join our team in Chandler, AZ.

The Configuration Analyst plans and coordinates preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and bill of materials, to ensure customer contract requirements are met. This individual analyzes proposed changes of product design to determine the effect on the overall product and system, coordinates modification records for management control. They also establish change orders and prepare for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor. The Configuration Analyst reviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities.

In this job, you will:

  • Coordinate modification records for configuration / change management of parts, drawings and assemblies

  • Establish change orders and prepare change authorization and documentation.

  • Ensure release documentation meets quality standards and contractual marking requirements.

  • Review and analyze released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities.

  • Analyze proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system.

This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years of professional experience - OR - Master's degree with 0 years of professional experience.

  • Microsoft Office and Adobe Pro proficiency

  • Experience with parts management, drawing release / change management, processing Bills of Materials

  • Must have ability to obtain U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and industry best practices for Configuration Data Management (CDM) (e.g., EIA-649) This includes the five fundamental elements (pillars) of CM per EIA-649 when performing CM activities

  • Soft skills include attention to detail, communication, problem solving and judgement, teamwork, high quality results

  • Experience with Change/File Management (PLM) tool(s) (i.e. TeamCenter)

  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools (i.e. CostPoint, SAP)

Salary Range:

Configuration Analyst - Level 2: $65,500 to $98,300

Primary Level Salary Range: $65,500.00 - $98,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
