Job Description
We are seeking a Configuration Manager to join a team of engineers dedicated to maintaining the integrity of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). The role focuses on implementing industry best practices while enhancing automated network reconciliation and discovery. The ideal candidate is a flexible team player who can prioritize and support multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in establishing processes and procedures for implementing changes while providing customer support.
  • Review and analyze approved production change releases, coordinating with engineering, implementation, and operations teams.
  • Perform data validation audits, data cleansing, and automated reporting utilizing Configuration Management tools.
  • Conduct manual validation of baseline configurations for network appliances and applications using GUI and command-line access.
  • Analyze network infrastructure and configuration issues related to discovery failures.
  • Manage and analyze escalated Incident tickets, coordinating with engineering teams to ensure solutions are implemented.
  • Develop and present briefings to leadership, providing data for incident resolution and approvals.
  • Utilize IT Service Management (ITSM) systems to facilitate Configuration Management processes.

Requirements
  • BS degree with 4-8 years of relevant experience, or MS degree with 2-6 years of relevant experience (additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
  • Active TS/SCI clearance (must be eligible for CI Poly).
  • Experience with Hardware/Software Configuration Management.
  • Understanding of Change Management, Engineering Review Board (ERB), and Change Control Board (CCB) processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), including Pivot Tables and Excel formulas.
  • Experience facilitating Configuration Management Boards.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • TS/SCI with CI Poly (preferred)
  • Prior experience supporting DISA and its mission partners.
