Information Technology Cybersecurity Engineering Co-Op/Intern - Spring 2027
Where will you work: This is a Hybrid role with main location at FishHawk site located at 13830 Circa Crossing Drive. Lithia, FL, 33547.
Housing and relocation can be provided for qualified candidates.
As an Information Technology Cybersecurity Engineering Co-Op/Intern you will gain hands-on experience across multiple cybersecurity engineering domains. This role is designed for students passionate about protecting digital assets, understanding cyber threats, and contributing to a secure enterprise environment. What you'll do:
In your role, you may rotate or contribute to projects in the following areas:
  • Architecture & Engineering
    • Participate in evaluating and testing security tools and technologies.
    • Assist in secure configuration reviews and vulnerability assessments.
    • Assist in Cybersecurity controls and architecture diagrams for Cybersecurity tools.
    • Contribute to automation scripts and infrastructure-as-code initiatives.
    • Help analyze and report on third-party risk.
    • Assist in policy tuning and alert triage.
    • Help configure and monitor Microsoft Sentinel for security event correlation and alerting.
    • Assist in vulnerability management and scanning.
    • Contribute to cloud security posture management.
    • Contribute to security automation workflows using Torq.
  • Communicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, engineers (of various disciplines), tradespersons, and contractors.
  • Participation in department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignment.
  • Adhering to Mosaic's mission, guiding principles and priorities, and key competencies.

What you'll need:
  • Junior level or above by January 2027 pursuing a bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineer, Cybersecurity, Data Science and/or Machine Learning.
  • 2.75 GPA or higher
  • 1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is preferred.
  • Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office.
  • Ability to work full time and be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship
  • Selected candidates will be required to successfully complete post-offer/pre-placement drug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, functional capacity examination.
  • Basic computer skills are required
  • Experience working in a team environment is a must
  • Effective verbal communication skills is a plus
