Job description

Monroe Elementary School and Troy Central School are seeking a dynamic and organized Educational Technician III Library Technician to join our team. This part-time position (2 days per week) involves working with K5 students to foster a love of reading and lifelong learning, as well as maintaining the daily operations of the school library.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead weekly library classes for students in grades K5, focusing on literacy, digital citizenship, and library skills
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to support literacy and curriculum goals
  • Circulate and shelve library materials; maintain an organized, welcoming, and inclusive library environment
  • Manage inventory and cataloging of books and resources using library management software
  • Assist students in selecting appropriate reading materials
  • Promote reading through displays, book talks, and school-wide events
  • Maintain library equipment and troubleshoot basic tech issues as needed


Ed Tech III Certification and CHRC ( Criminal History Record Check) required or ability to obtain upon employment.
