Job description

The Parish of the Holy Eucharist in Falmouth, Maine, is seeking a part-time Parish Comptroller (19 hours per week) to oversee the parish's financial operations and support responsible stewardship of parish resources. Reporting directly to the Pastor, this position is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, payroll, bank reconciliations, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. The Parish Comptroller will work closely with parish leadership, the Finance Council, and the Diocese to ensure accurate financial records, compliance with diocesan policies, and sound financial management practices.
The ideal candidate will have accounting or finance experience, strong analytical and organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting software. Experience in nonprofit, church, or diocesan accounting is preferred. Candidates should be practicing Roman Catholics who actively support the mission of the Catholic Church and are committed to serving the Parish of the Holy Eucharist with professionalism, integrity, and discretion.
