Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated Part-Time IT Intern to support our IT department. This role offers hands-on experience with hardware, software, networking, and technical projects in a real-world business environment. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to build a strong foundation for a career in information technology. As an entry level position, the pay rate is $15.10 an hour.
Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to and resolve IT help desk tickets related to hardware, software, and network issues
  • Assist with the setup, configuration, and deployment of new employee workstations, including computers, monitors, and peripherals
  • Install, update, and patch operating systems and software applications to ensure performance and security
  • Provide basic network troubleshooting and support for user access to network resources
  • Maintain accurate inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and mobile devices
  • Document technical procedures and create clear, user-friendly guides for employees
  • Support IT initiatives such as software rollouts, cybersecurity efforts, and cloud-based projects
  • Assist with administrative tasks including presentations, spreadsheets, and IT documentation

Qualifications
  • Current student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Foundational knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems, productivity software, and basic IT tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate clearly and work well in a team
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Optional (not required): ITIL, CISA, HDI, or other relevant IT certifications
