Job description

IT Digital Systems - Operations Assistant
Purpose within the Organization:
Under general direction, the Operations Assistant will support warehouse operations, including inventory organization, processing new inventory, preparing equipment requests for project installations, maintaining service tickets, and performing various other operational tasks on campus.
Responsibilities Related to Purpose:
  • Continuously maintain inventory functionality and organization for the Campus Technology warehouse
  • Retrieve packages and process equipment into inventory
  • Process equipment request lists and assign assets to the project/ticket in Asset Management software
  • Assist with asset tracking for both software and hardware assets, related to the Project Management Office of Campus Technology
  • Follow daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inventory procedures outlined in the internal guidebook
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness
  • Assist direct supervisor with tasks as needed
  • Tier one troubleshooter for initial investigation of service tickets as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Equipment Used and Responsibility:
  • Windows, MS Office Suite
  • Inventory management systems (TeamDynamix)
  • Inventory Barcode Scanners

Qualifications:
  • Understanding of basic inventory and warehouse operations
  • Proficient in basic signal flow troubleshooting
  • Strong communication - verbal and written
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Experience in technology (encouraged, not required)

Requirements:
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Clean Driving Record

Education:
Grand Canyon University is committed to a student-first policy.
Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:
• Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor's program or Master's program.
• Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
• Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
