ASSISTANT SOFTBALL COACH
Bridgewater College is seeking an enthusiastic and student-centered Assistant Softball Coach to join its NCAA Division III softball program. This full-time position reports to the Head Softball Coach and offers an opportunity to help develop student-athletes while contributing to a competitive, values-driven program.
The successful candidate will assist with coaching, recruiting, player development, program operations, and community engagement while helping foster a positive team culture that reflects the mission and values of Bridgewater College.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Assist the Head Coach with all aspects of the NCAA Division III softball program
Coach and instruct student-athletes during practices, games, and individual skill development sessions
Recruit prospective student-athletes who are a strong fit academically, athletically, and personally for Bridgewater College
Prepare scouting reports, analyze game film, and assist with game planning
Help coordinate and lead fundraising initiatives and community service projects
Support program marketing and branding through social media and other digital platforms
Mentor student-athletes and promote their academic, athletic, and personal development
Ensure compliance with NCAA, Old Dominion Athletic Conference, and College policies and regulations
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred
Collegiate coaching experience and/or competitive collegiate playing experience
Experience coaching or playing any softball position; all positional backgrounds will be considered
Strong knowledge of softball fundamentals, player development, and recruiting
Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Valid driver's license and ability to meet the College's vehicle insurance requirements
