Position Title: Assistant Softball Coach
Location: Basalt, Colorado
Position Type: Part-Time/Seasonal
Overview:
Basalt High School is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Softball Coach. This role is an integral part of our coaching staff, focusing on developing skills, and overall performance while fostering a supportive and competitive team environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in organizing and managing team practices, games, and events.
  • Provide real-time feedback during practices and games to optimize performance.
  • Collaborate with the head coach to align pitching development with overall team goals.
  • Encourage sportsmanship, teamwork, and a positive team culture.
  • Ensure compliance with school and state athletic regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Prior experience as a softball coach (minimum of 2 years) or player (minimum of 4 years).
  • In-depth knowledge of pitching techniques and training strategies.
  • Strong communication and mentorship skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with coaching staff and student-athletes.
  • Commitment to player development and team success.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience coaching at the high school or collegiate level.
  • Advanced training or certifications in softball coaching.

Schedule and Compensation:
  • Seasonal position, aligning with the softball season (August-October).
  • Salary Range: $2,772.00 - $3,493.00 depending on previous paid coaching experience in this sport.
