Job description

Wolfson Children’s Hospital is seeking an experienced and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Work Manager to oversee our Pediatric Social Work team. This manager will lead a dedicated team focused on supporting the psychosocial needs of pediatric patients and their families. This role plays a critical leadership function in delivering family-centered, trauma-informed care while ensuring effective coordination of resources and services across the continuum of care.

The Licensed Clinical Social Work Manager fosters strong collaboration between families and interdisciplinary medical teams, supports families in navigating the healthcare system, and addresses social determinants of health through meaningful community connections.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Work Manager, you will be responsible for:

Lead, mentor, and support a multidisciplinary pediatric social work team in delivering high-quality, family-centered psychosocial care

Oversee daily operations of the pediatric social work department

Ensure effective care coordination and timely connection to internal and community-based resources

Promote and integrate trauma-informed care practices and emotional support services into patient care planning

Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and clinical teams to ensure clear, compassionate, and effective communication

Manage department staffing, including recruitment, onboarding, supervision, performance management, and professional development

Monitor departmental budgets and support financial sustainability initiatives

Collaborate with hospital leadership and interdisciplinary partners to enhance care delivery, patient experience, and outcomes

Experience Requirements:

  • Over 5 years Social Work Experience Preferred
  • 3-5 Years Supervisory Experience Required

Education & Credential Requirements:

  • Master of Science required
  • Master of Social Work preferred
  • LCSW Certified Supervisors Preferred
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker Required

Licensure requirement: A valid Florida Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is required, registered interns will not be considered.
