Job description

OverviewResponsible to write, edit and proofread content for a variety of internal and/or external communications.
Department Summary

  • Design and produce branded assets for social media platforms, including infographics, blog previews, and other visual assets that support campaign objectives.
  • Maintain a visualfocused content calendar that schedules the creation, approval, and publishing of graphic assets across all social channels.
  • Write concise, onbrand social media copy to accompany visual assets and schedule posts using Sprout Social or equivalent management tools.
  • Curate, organize, and steward the company’s library of stock imagery, ensuring proper licensing, attribution, and alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Apply creative design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and other design tools to proficiently to develop highquality visual content, adhering to brand standards and accessibility best practices.
  • Explore and integrate artificialintelligence tools (e.g., generative image models, automated layout assistants) to streamline creative workflows, increase production efficiency, and maintain consistency.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to align visual storytelling with community engagement strategies and overall communications plans.
  • Monitor performance of visual content (impressions, engagement, clickthrough rates) and provide insights for iterative design improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Write clear and compelling content while maintaining a consistent brand voice.
  • Proofread internal and external communications content for clarity, tone, style and grammar to ensure communications are high quality and results oriented.
  • Research and produce communications content that is informational, educational and drives engagement.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to internal team members and leadership. 
  • Research targeted audiences and suggest communication channels.
  • Support special projects as assigned. 
  • Generate ideas to improve communication processes and delivery methods.
  • Maintain an understanding of the corporate communications strategy and standards to support the development of communication plans that support strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications or related field is required.
  • Three (3) years of professional communications experience is required. 
  • Previous experience working in the healthcare industry is preferred. 
  • Advanced copywriting, editing and written communication skills. 
  • Intermediate oral communication skills. 
  • Advanced Microsoft Word and intermediate PowerPoint skills. 
  • Intermediate knowledge of multimedia technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently while meeting deadlines.  
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.  
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships within the organization and community.
 Add to Other Skills and Abilities:
  • Expertlevel proficiency with creative design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, etc.) or comparable design tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to create onbrand visual assets for a variety of digital formats and sizes
  • Familiarity with AIdriven creative tools (e.g., generative image models, copytoimage platforms) and best practices for ethical use.
  • Strong eye for design, layout, typography, and color theory, with an emphasis on accessibility standards.
