The Marketing Coordinator Senior as a key member of the Innovation Quarter Marketing & Communications team. This role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive content, storytelling, and social media strategies that elevate Innovation Quarter's visibility, strengthen community engagement, and support organizational goals. The position also leads initiatives that promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and community collaboration while fostering meaningful relationships among Innovation Quarter tenants, healthcare partners, community organizations, and residents.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelors degree in Business, Communication, English or related field or commensurate work experience. Masters degree preferred. At least two years business experience in journalism, marketing, planning or program development, preferably in a health care or innovations setting, required.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION: Valid applicable state driver's license
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Works with program director and marketing to help establish comprehensive strategies for reaching key audiences through storytelling and social media content in ways that meet the operating goals of the Innovation Quarter.
  • Leads all Innovation Quarter social media properties, developing a comprehensive content plan that addresses each platform's unique audiences, advantages and challenges.
  • Applies Search Engine Optimization techniques to content in order to maximize search engine appeal in line with strategic priorities of the team.
  • Provides quality assurance of all content through systematic reviews of copy, art and functional applications. Reviews content at multiple stages of development for conformance to standards for information architecture, editorial style, usability, branding appropriateness and visual appeal.
  • Acts as community lead for social media properties, including monitoring, reviewing and when appropriate, responding to comments and direct messages. Works in coordination with Director of Marketing & Communications in response to sensitive and/or controversial social media communications, posts and interactions.
  • Monitors KPIs for content and social media properties and reports out on progress to goals. Makes recommendations for annual marketing & communications operating plan as relating to content and social media based on Innovation Quarter priorities.
  • Communicates frequently and directly with CM&M colleagues to coordinate, report on and develop content, including attending internal content coordination meetings as needed.
  • Identifies, on boards and leads the work of multiple freelancers, contractors and vendors in order to successfully execute and deploy content and social media campaigns.
  • Assists with annual marketing & communications budget and develops budget tracking reports on a regular basis. Ensures that expenses do not exceed annual budget. Coordinates with finance on credit card reconciliation monthly.
  • Works collaboratively with Innovation Quarter tenants and WFBH neighbors to develop, manage and evaluate comprehensive action plans that promote diversity and inclusion across departments, systems, programming and real estate planning.
  • Assists with the development of a diversity and inclusion metrics, evaluates programs and progress and the development of an annual report that includes milestones of diversity, inclusion and equity.
  • Remains current on relevant local and national trends, policies, best practices, literature and research related to the community development focused on eliminating economic, social and health disparities, diversity and inclusion issues and educates leadership and partners on the tenets, principles and outcomes of diversity and inclusiveness practices.
  • Leads the coordination and execution of frequent internal and external meetings and recommendations on system solutions that address diversity and inclusion issues and gaps
  • Represents the institution within the community by attending events, forums, and meetings that relate to diversity, inclusion and culturally sensitive matters.
  • Seeks opportunities and writes grants and sponsorships to support targeted programs.
  • Other duties as assigned by Director, Marketing & Communications.
