We create and curate the world's grandest stages at premier venues for the world's best disc golfers in order to transmit the story of professional disc golf as an engaging, high-quality experience that inspires and grows fans of the sport on-site and online.

The Social Media Contractor assists the DGPT Social Media Team with creating content during live Disc Golf Network events.
  • Job Title: Social Media Contractor
  • Position Type: Entry level, Remote, Contracted
    • Event to event basis
  • Rate: $22 USD / hr

NOTE - Late night (US time zone) coverage support needed for European events. European live event coverage begins ~2:45 AM ET.

Job Requirements
  • Experience working with Adobe Suite, specifically PhotoShop, Premiere Pro, and Illustrator.
  • A basic understanding of disc golf and the lingo associated
  • Familiarity with Elite-level disc golf competition and players
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work well under pressure and tight time constraints.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • An understanding of public relation risks on social media and how to mitigate exposure with communication via social media.
  • The ability to write captions in the voice of the Disc Golf Pro Tour brand in a way that connects with fans and followers.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with social media scheduling and reporting software.
  • Previous marketing or media experience.
  • Experience creating content for disc golf or previous experience working for a disc golf company.

Job Role
  • Watch assigned Disc Golf Network live events and post-produced videos to create channel-specific social media content as directed by the Social Media Director.
  • Identify, clip, edit, and post highlights during live broadcasts on Disc Golf Network with a quick turnaround.
