Summary:
The Sr. Specialist, Social & Communications will be a key leader on the Integrated Marketing team. You will partner with the Colgate Marketing organization and brand teams to lead visionary brand storytelling that drives differentiated awareness and loyalty while creating a strong emotional connection with our community. They will focus on spearheading strategy, content, social commerce, collaboration, best practices, and innovation, as well as overseeing execution.
The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader with deep expertise in social marketing while being an integrated marketer at heart. They have a passion for bringing brands to life through earned, owned, paid social media, in support of 360-degree marketing initiatives. They're experienced working cross-functionally to invent and implement exciting and innovative marketing initiatives that drive brand love and deliver on strategic business objectives.
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate on the vision and strategy for comprehensive, integrated social media marketing practice with a focus on trend-driven, in-culture content.
  • Spearhead the development and execution of culturally relevant content across priority organic channels and paid priorities. Including organic in-feed content and paid-creator assets.
  • Produce and oversee the delivery of weekly, high-velocity culture-led, "Discovery Page"-style content to capture attention and advance brand visibility, working in partnership with the creative agency.
  • Envision new opportunities to bring the brand to life and drive social buzz around new product launches, tentpoles and cultural moments.
  • Lead the creative and strategic direction of social content in partnership with agency, ensuring relevance to current social trends.
  • Develop thought-leadership materials to highlight cultural trends and cultural importance to brand growth.
  • Lead agency / supplier resources for day-to day management of trend-content and paid-social creator assets
  • Keep a pulse on new and emerging trends, creators, and platforms-testing, learning and experimenting in ways that feel authentic to our brands and capitalizing on cultural moments for content activation.
  • Test innovative social content approaches to advance channel-specific KPIs and explore emerging platforms and determine brand role.
  • Collaborate with IBE and paid media team to trend-forward content is integrated from a full-funnel experience
  • Serve as a leader with vision in the organization, collaborating closely with internal partners including brand marketing, creative, ecommerce, digital, CSR, DE&I, shopper marketing, and others to bring our brands to life through social media.
  • Partner with cross-marketing and agency teams to develop KPIs, measurement frameworks and reporting for social media growth, engagement, and performance.
  • Monitor, measure, and analyze the effectiveness of initiatives; make recommendations to optimize performance; communicate wins across the organization.

Required Qualifications:
    Bachelors degree
  • 4+ years of experience in social media, culture-first content production, with a proven track record of creating high-performing, trend-based content
  • Strategic and operational knowledge of social channel management including but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Youtube, Snapchat, Reddit, and X

Preferred Qualifications:
    Experience with Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
  • Strong creative thinker who can conceptualize around an existing concept and develop stories relevant to our audience, with a knack for rapid content creation
  • Experience with social listening tools (eg; Netbase, Synthesio) including sentiment tracking, trend spotting for activation opportunities and KPI reporting
  • Solid understanding of social creative trends and emerging meme culture
  • Thought leadership around emerging social channels

Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Accordingly, all applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis and must not require the Company's sponsorship to continue to work legally in the United States.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $96,000.00 - $137,000.00 USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
