JOB TITLE: Social Media Intern
JOB LOCATION: Remote
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Digital Marketing, the Social Media Intern will support the Marketing team with social media content creation and publishing.
COMPENSATION
Interns still completing an undergraduate degree will be paid an hourly wage of $25.00 per hour, while those currently enrolled in a graduate program will receive an hourly wage of $30.00 per hour.
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible, students must be enrolled in an accredited, 4-year undergraduate degree program or pursuing an advanced degree. Due to timeliness and our necessary compliance with obtaining government approved authorizations to work in US Commercial Nuclear, we are unable to accommodate F-1 or M-1 Visas and can only consider students who are US Citizens or US Permanent Residents or otherwise generally approved under 10 CFR part 810.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in creating, scheduling, and publishing content across social media platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, X (Twitter), and Facebook
  • Support content development including copywriting, basic graphic design, short-form video, and story concepts
  • Monitor social media channels, respond to comments/messages as appropriate, and flag engagement opportunities
  • Research industry trends, competitors, and emerging social media best practices
  • Assist with social media campaigns, events, and special initiatives
  • Help maintain brand voice, tone, and visual consistency across platforms
  • Performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:
  • Education: Must be currently enrolled in a 4-year accredited undergraduate (Junior or Senior standing) or graduate program in a related field. A GPA of 3.0 or greater is preferred.
  • Experience: Experience creating social media content for a company or organization is preferred. Must have strong written communication skills and a familiarity with social media platforms.
  • Industry Requirements: Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
