Social Content Creators are a unique blend of ideator and creative maker. They are social-first thinkers who are passionate about creating content that gets talked about and drives audience engagement and growth across social platforms. Beyond planning and connecting an idea, this particular role requires a focus on digital design and content production for social-first channels like Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and more. Key Responsibilities
Content Planning
  • Collaborate on content planning for key clients, supporting priority accounts across the agency with guidance and oversight from the Group Content Director
  • Provide platform-specific content recommendations that leverage cultural trends, platform trends, or resonant consumer insights
  • Actively identify trends in the industry in an effort to help our clients innovate and elevate above the competition
  • Share content creation best practices with the team, adapting and learning new social mediums (ex. IG Reels)

Content Ideation
  • Brainstorm and conceptualize breakthrough ideas that align with the overarching social strategy and help our clients achieve their objectives, ultimately driving their business forward
  • Effectively present ideas to internal teams and clients, anticipating questions that may arise and problem-solving in real-time as needed
  • Build and implement processes and best practices for content creation, ensuring all content embodies the brand voice + tone and follows brand and platform guidelines

Content Production
  • Bring ideas to life, nurturing them from thoughts and concepts to real-world expressions including design, art direction, hands-on content production, editing, and/or managing external production vendors and partners
  • Create visually stimulating, breakthrough, and memorable content using a variety of media, including photography, stock, animation, and still assets
  • In partnership with Client Services, define the production scope, develop timelines and milestones, plan and manage budget allocations, facilitate reviews and communication, and ensure project delivery requirements are met
  • Proactively lead pre-production planning including, but not limited to, securing props, talent, music, permitting, releases, and any other elements needed to execute the work to a high-quality standard
  • Ensure full delivery of assets on time and on-budget
  • Facilitate stellar communication with all parties involved in content creation and production, proactively elevating any foreseen challenges or bringing in others to help problem-solve as needed
  • Establish a high standard of excellence for every piece of content produced, paying close attention to all the details while continually improving the process
  • Build relationships with external creative partnerships and collaborators, positioning The Social Lights as a sought-after social content solution

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • 2+ years of experience in social media required, prior agency experience preferred
  • 5+ years of experience editing/creating/designing content for social
  • Quick to solve problems, improvise or propose solutions to barriers that may arise
  • A collaborative mindset with attention to detail and follow-through
  • A willingness to jump into new challenges to learn and grow
  • Excellent time management, organization, and prioritization skills
  • Agency experience a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office software and G Suite tools
  • Proficient in Adobe Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Experience with Apple (Keynote, Pages, Numbers)
