Consistently and safely manufacture batches of the highest quality.
Maintain a safe work environment and ensure employees are wearing the proper PPE.
Coordinate with Shift Supervisors, Materials/Purchase Manager and Plant Manager on production priorities.
Assign personnel and machinery to tasks and batches to achieve maximum throughput and productivity.
Inspect batches and batch paperwork to ensure batches are executed by the instructions.
Keep employees informed and know how to communicate with them to ensure tasks are understood.
Seek self-improvement and encourage improvement of others. Be technically proficient. Know your job and have a solid familiarity with employees' tasks.
Knowledge of product and packing configurations.
Knowledge on the computer Programs Soar, Smooth-On Master Form, and Fork-It.
Train new employees on:
1. The importance of working safely
2. Keeping a clean work environment
3. Individual job functions
4. How to use Soar and Smooth-On Master Form
5. How to create a batch sheet to pack out a job
6. How to print batch sheets, skid tags, and box labels
7. How to print labels for all FG products
Train existing employees on:
1. New equipment
2. New batches
3. New procedures within production
Operate pint capping/sealing machinery, can filler, and cartridge filler in a safe and efficient manner.
Retrieve packaging components and dispense high quality products from drum or other containers into smaller containers by weight or volume that is attractive to the customer.
Accurately follows and completes wet pack sheets according to packaging components, labels, product, weights and volume.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Empower Junior Operators and Wet Packers on new production processes.
Use good problem solving, decision making, and planning tools.
Trained yearly in the handling (i.e. 90-day storage drum management, transporting, etc.) of hazardous waste drums.
Trained in bulk receiving of raw materials and oversee transfer to bulk raw material tanks.
Handle all finished good returns to be processed for rework or restocking.
Be willing to work overtime as needed during the week and weekends.
Actively giving feedback to employees on matters of performance and attitude.
Active involvement in teams/committees.
Actively giving feedback and working on project teams.
Attend technical/developmental training at least 2x per year.
Author detailed debriefs.
Give and witness employee disciplinary actions.
Material Handler for the shift.
Continually practice safety procedures and policies to protect yourself, others and company owned property.
Practice civility in all aspects of your job by actively listening, hearing and working together with co-workers, vendors and managers and by resolving issues respectfully and professionally in a civil manner.
Comply with company rules, policies and procedures.
Seek guidance from other Team Leaders or Managers before performing an unfamiliar task or assignment.
Complete job tasks efficiently, timely and accurately according to SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), job aids and based on job function.
Maintain work area (e.g., materials, stock areas, desks, floors, shelves, counters, etc.) in a safe, clean, organized, and efficient manner.
Must show up for work on time and be willing to work occasional overtime as required (with adequate notice from management).
Demonstrate reliable attendance, limited lateness or call outs.
Willingness to learn other jobs.
Must have reliable transportation to work.

Experience and Education
Two (2) years successful experience in a manufacturing environment preferred; and,
High school graduate or GED required; and,
Previous experience in a chemical industry preferred; and,
Moderate understanding of operating a computer; or,
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
