What are SMIs?

SMI stands for Subject Matter Expert or Specialist in many industries, but it can also refer to 'Social Media Influencer' in marketing contexts or 'Serious Mental Illness' in healthcare. If you are referring to the job title, an SMI typically means a Subject Matter Expert who provides specialized knowledge and expertise in a particular field or discipline. Always verify the context in which 'SMI' is used to ensure proper understanding.
