THE ROLE

Our client, an acute care hospital system in Houston, TX, is seeking a full-time permanent Manager of Case Management for Trauma. This mid-level leadership role is responsible for overseeing the case management function within the trauma service line, ensuring effective utilisation management, discharge planning, and care coordination. The position requires on-site presence at the Houston campus and does not support remote work arrangements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and oversee case management operations for the trauma service line
  • Lead utilisation management, discharge planning, and cost/quality management programmes
  • Supervise and develop case management staff within the department
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nursing, social work, and medical staff
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to hospital policies and protocols

REQUIREMENTS

Must-Have

  • โ˜… Case Manager Certification (CCM or ACMA) โ€” required
  • โ˜… Current and valid Registered Nurse licence in the state of Texas OR Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) โ€” LCSW preferred
  • โ˜… Minimum five (5) years' experience in utilisation management, case management, discharge planning, or cost/quality management
  • โ˜… Minimum three (3) years' experience in hospital-based nursing or social work
  • โ˜… Minimum three (3) years' demonstrated leadership experience

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • LCSW licensure
  • Experience in trauma service line case management
