Job Summary

BioLegend develops world-class, cutting-edge antibodies and reagents for biomedical research, manufactured in our state-of-the-art facility in San Diego, CA.  Our mission is to accelerate research and discovery by providing the highest quality products at an outstanding value, along with superior customer service and technical support. Our product expertise covers a diverse set of research areas including Immunology, Neuroscience, Cancer, Stem cells, and Cell Biology. 

BioLegend’s Training Coordinator prepares, manages, coordinates conducts, and tracks all training programs related to Operations at BioLegend. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to communicate, excellent time management skills, and a willingness to adapt to changing business needs.

Essential Functions

  • Work with close partnership with department supervisors/managers to understand training requirements
  • Assign appropriate training plan to onboarding employee or existing employee for career progression
  • Track the timeline of training schedule to ensure timely execution with a regular report out
  • Assign and track Qualified Trainer and OTJ Trainer program, ensure Qualified Trainers are up to date on requirements, and schedule new and refresher training for QTs
  • Perform administrative tasks such as to monitor, scheduling classroom training, assign OJT trainer
  • Maintain training records database compliance to ISO 13485:2016 requirement
  • Other projects or responsibilities may be required.

Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience

  • 1 year or more of biotech-related experience (QA, IT, Communication, Manufacturing, Data Entry, etc..)
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding attention-to-detail, time management, prioritization, and organization skills
  • Computer proficiency with the ability to use Microsoft Office products
  • Work experience in a highly regulated environment

Preferred Qualifications – Education and Experience

  • Previous Training Coordinator experience related to training new employees, and producing and presenting training materials
  • Prior experience compiling report or tracking data
  • Experience and knowledge of BioLegend products and processes
  • Experience in antibody manufacturing
  • Experience with eQMS, SmartSolve, or other
  • Experience in ISO 13485 and/or other related regulations, certifications, and audits
  • Associates degree or higher in biology or biochemistry
