What You’ll Do

As an experienced engineer or engineer-in-training (EIT), you’ll use your expertise to bring buildings to life. You’ll solve complex challenges, collaborate across disciplines, and see your work progress from early concepts to construction. You’ll design electrical systems including power, lighting, fire alarm and low voltage that support high-performance buildings and enhance the way people experience the built environment.

Lead Electrical Engineering & Project Delivery

  • Serve as the electrical lead to ensure design criteria, budgets, and schedules meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Prepare plans, specifications, construction documents, bid packages, technical reports, and conduct proactive review of shop drawings and RFIs.
  • Verify project documentation and close‑out tasks follow company standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by refining technical standards, best practices, and design processes.

Manage Projects & Client Relationships

  • Manage multiple concurrent, larger-scope, and often complex projects with a focus on quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, milestones, staffing needs, deliverables, and ongoing project status.
  • Provide clear, practical engineering recommendations to clients and maintain strong relationships through responsive communication and leadership.
  • Engage in business development - supporting marketing efforts, maintaining regular contact with key clients and contributing to proposals.

Coordinate Across Disciplines

  • Partner closely with architects, owners, contractors, and internal engineering disciplines to ensure aligned scope, deliverables, and expectations.
  • Participate in project meetings and represent mechanical engineering requirements with clarity and confidence.
  • Support construction administration through timely communication and sound engineering judgment.

Mentor & Lead

  • Mentor junior team members, support knowledge sharing, and help strengthen overall team capability.
  • Represent the company professionally with clients, industry partners, and key associations.
  • Step in where needed to support firmwide initiatives and ensure exceptional project delivery.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in electrical engineering (PE, EIT, or EI certification required).
  • Experienced in the design and analysis of complex electrical systems (e.g., controls, instrumentation, SCADA systems, power distribution systems) with a solid understanding and application of engineering principles, practices, and concepts. Working knowledge of remote telemetry systems and SCADA network communications is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Revit, AutoCAD and current electrical engineering software (e.g., Visual Lighting, AGI 32, SKM Power*Tools, Lightstanza). Working knowledge of MicroStation, Smartsheet, Unanet CRM by Cosential, and Deltek Ajera software is a plus. Ability to maintain skill levels within the changing technology environment.
  • Ability to apply national, state and local codes including NFPA (including NFPA 70 (NEC)), ASHRAE and IECC.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to professional growth (EIT/EI candidates expected to pursue PE licensure).
  • U.S. citizenship or valid Green Card.
