Role and Responsibilities

The Product Manager- B2B smartphones is responsible for end to end category management of portfolio offering, new product launches and partnership with Business Development and Sales on Industry specific offerings. Responsibilities include helping shape product portfolio through gathering of insights and category knowledge; building business cases for new product offerings, and driving go to market activities across teams.

Job Description:

  • Product Management: Works cross functionally with SEA Operations and HQ teams in Korea to manage product launches including launch timeline management, reporting, SKU setup, and tracking testing schedules
  • Partner with the Headquarters to ensure US customer requirements are represented in future roadmap planning
  • Category Management: Manage B2B smartphone portfolio, create strategy and plans to meet business objectives across the entire product lifecycle.
  • Performance Tracking: Closely monitor and analyze performance across product segments, routes to market, and verticals, and extract data driven insights that inform future strategies
  • Industry Specific Solutions: Own business case development and product positioning for the US market, taking into consideration macro trends, competitive landscape, key verticals, and existing portfolio lineup
  • Go to Market: Drive strategic vision for new product launches and coordinate GTM efforts across HQ/R&D, business development, sales, marketing, events;
  • Executive Meeting Prep: Prepare executive level presentations that convey our performance and key strategies

Skills and Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of work experience with 2+ years in product management or operations experience. Experience in mobile device space is a big plus.
  • Sharp, results oriented go-getter who does whatever it takes to get the job done on time.
  • Strong analytics capabilities to manage portfolio performance and produce reports that capture portfolio performance against business goals.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all assigned levels within and outside the company.
  • Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects.
  • Review detailed product development, marketing documents and media materials as needed.
  • Demonstrated competency in both oral and written communication modes for both internal and external personnel at various levels.
  • Work independently and in a team environment in order to achieve customer business objectives, personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames and specifications.
  • The ability to develop tasks and work assignments, based on sometime vaguely defined objectives.
  • Experience working with a geo-distributed team a plus.
  • Strong problem solving skills, good organizational skills with an ability to multitask.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Necessary Skills & Attributes:

  • Keen understanding of smartphone category sales channels and market dynamics
  • The ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all appropriate levels within and outside the company.
  • Proven success in a highly dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
  • Extensive data analysis skills with demonstrated visualization development
  • Most important will be strong communication, both written (PPT presentations) and oral skills (Should have advanced MS Excel and MS PowerPoint knowledge and skills)
  • The ability to work either independently or in a team environment to achieve personal and team project goals, including the completion of assignments within and exceeding established time frames
  • The ability to develop tasks and work assignments, based on sometime vaguely defined objectives.

Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions:

  • The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:
  • Work is generally performed in an office environment.
  • Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal 50% of work time, including prolonged periods of time.
  • The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time under 25 pounds.
  • Performs work under time schedules and stresses which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive job stress, fatigue, unpaid over-time, intellectual challenge, constant technical data feedback, language barriers, and business management stress.
  • Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids representative and commonly associated with PCs, printers, and office work areas.
  • Frequently works additional hours beyond normal schedule.
  • Under very little direct supervision with a high level of responsibility to apply general policies and guidelines where decisions are seldom monitored and consequences of decisions adversely affect operating results and management decisions. Complete access to confidential company data where disclosure may jeopardize the company's competitive position.
