Description

Malvern Treatment Centers is looking for a full time Driver working 8 hour evening shifts during the week with an every other weekend commitment. Schedule will rotate to include an every other weekend but will have some flexibility. This position is a full time opportunity and provides a competitive compensation and benefits package. This position is based out of our MTC-Philadelphia location at 3905 Ford Road Phila, PA 19131 but will need to provide transportation to all three of our Malvern Treatment Center locations.

The Driver transports patients/staff and ensures vehicles are in good repair and safe operating order. He or she helps any riders in need of aid when entering or exiting the vehicle and also with any equipment or belongings. The Driver performs routine vehicle maintenance such as regulating tire pressure, refueling, and checking fluids as necessary. Most importantly and without exception, the Driver operates within the legal speed limits and in a safe fashion at all times. The ideal candidate is prompt and responsible and maintains a warm, friendly, and helpful demeanor. He or she has a high school diploma or GED, a current certification in CPR and First Aid, a valid driver's license in this state, a clean driving record, and a general mechanical aptitude. The Driver will be a friendly, courteous ambassador for our patients and facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Transports patients to and from Malvern in a reliable manner
  • Interacts appropriately with patients
  • Arrives at scheduled activities on time and keeps appointments
  • Maintains current CPR/First Aid certification
  • Participates in continuing education to reach professional growth objectives by attending in-services and other training opportunities
  • Provides pertinent information to appropriate treatment team members
  • Interacts with co-workers in a helpful manner that contributes to high morale
  • Demonstrates flexibility regarding unexpected changes in work volume, emergencies, staffing, and scheduling changes
  • Demonstrates a professional, positive attitude
  • Reports any mechanical issues vehicles are experiencing
  • Tracks and schedules vehicle maintenance and repairs after administration approval (i.e., oil changes, tire, repairs, inspections and general maintenance, etc.)
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Must have a valid Driver's License. Must meet requirements of the Company's Fleet Policy based on Motor Vehicle Report and clearance to operate company vehicles.

Knowledgeable about motor vehicle and traffic regulations

General mechanical aptitude

Current CPR/First Aid certification

Able to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds

Able to stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl as required

Able to function calmly in crisis situations
