Department Description
The Product Orderability group is responsible for product, software and services implementations in CRM, ERP and Product Lifecycle Management Systems. The Group has a global presence in all regions (North America, Europe and Asia). It is responsible for working with cross functional teams (Sales, Go-to-Market, Product Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Services & IT) for end-to-end definition and implementation of product offers and configurations in CRM/ERP systems product orderability from Quoting to Fulfillment products and to provide better user experiences to our end customers, partners, resellers and Salesforce.
Product Orderability group is also investing in onboarding new tools and technologies to drive process automation, enable self-service & AI based solutions for our stakeholders and reduce manual efforts to reduce product launch cycle time. We look for the most advanced problem solvers and leaders in the automation area - like you - to help automate our business processes using various automation concepts like AI, RPAs BOTs etc. To drive the process efficiencies, centralized product data management with quality and governance, we are going through major Product transformation implementing tools like Oracle PDH and MDM across all product portfolios and regions.
Job DescriptionPosition Overview

Motorola is undergoing a major digital transformation to centralize our product data using a cutting-edge hybrid solution: Oracle Product Data Hub (PDH) and Informatica MDM. As we approach the rollout of Phase 1, we are seeking a dynamic, data-savvy Product Owner to champion this platform from the business side.

In this role, you will bridge the gap between business strategy and IT execution. You will ensure steady-state operational excellence and continuous enhancement of Phase 1, while simultaneously defining the roadmap and leading the business through future phases of this multi-year implementation.

Additionally, this role will also be responsible to ensure data consistency, quality and PDH/MDM tool adoption across business teams with governance best practices including the downstream systems like CPQ, OCC, EBS. Partner with other Product Orderability team members to help onboard, design, execute, test and deploy steady state and future phases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Vision & Roadmap Management: Define, maintain, and prioritize the business backlog for the hybrid Oracle PDH/Informatica MDM platform. Translate business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements.

  • Phased Implementation Leadership: Partner closely with IT to successfully transition Phase 1 into a steady state, while proactively leading the business readiness, scoping, and execution for future implementation phases over the next 2-4 years.

  • Data Governance & Quality Advocacy: Establish and enforce data governance policies, data standards, and quality metrics. Ensure the master product data remains accurate, consistent, and secure across all cross-functional systems.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between IT/development teams and core business stakeholders (Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Marketing) to ensure the MDM solution meets diverse business needs.

  • Change Management & Support: Drive adoption of the new platform across the organization. Design and deliver training, create documentation, and act as the subject matter expert (SME) for ongoing business support and troubleshooting.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Domain Expertise: Strong foundational knowledge of data structures, data governance principles, data quality management, and data lifecycle processes.

  • Technical Familiarity: Prior experience with Oracle Product Data Hub (PDH) and/or Informatica MDM is highly preferred.

  • Agile Methodology: Proven experience working within Agile/Scrum frameworks, managing backlogs in tools like Jira or Azure DevOps, and participating in sprint ceremonies.

  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language and vice versa.

**10% travel requirement to Chicago/Schaumburg office

Target Base Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

  • 4+ of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Data Analyst, specifically working with Master Data Management (MDM) or Product Data Management systems
