Position Summary

Fort Wayne FC is seeking a motivated, energetic, and results-oriented Group Sales Account Executive to join our sales team. This position is responsible for generating group ticket revenue by developing relationships with businesses, schools, youth sports organizations, nonprofits, community groups, and other organizations throughout the Fort Wayne area.


The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys building relationships, prospecting for new business, and creating memorable group experiences. The Group Sales Account Executive will be responsible for developing new group opportunities, managing the sales process from prospecting through closing, servicing group leaders, and achieving established sales and revenue goals.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Generate new group ticket sales through cold calling, email outreach, networking, referrals, community outreach, and face-to-face appointments.
  • Sell a full range of ticket products with a primary focus on group outings, group experiences, and special events.
  • Identify and develop relationships with businesses, schools, youth sports organizations, nonprofits, community organizations, and other potential group buyers.
  • Prospect and cultivate new sales leads through creative and proactive lead-generation strategies.
  • Conduct sales presentations and appointments with prospective group leaders and organizations.
  • Manage the group sales process from initial prospecting through closing, payment, and event execution.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with group leaders and customers to encourage repeat business and long-term partnerships.
  • Utilize the club's CRM to maintain accurate and complete customer and prospect information.
  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure a positive and successful group experience on match days and events.
  • Host and service prospective and existing group clients during home matches and other club events.
  • Represent Fort Wayne FC at community events, networking functions, sales events, and promotional activities.
  • Meet or exceed established monthly and annual sales objectives and revenue goals.
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  • Work home matches, promotional events, and other activities that may occur outside normal business hours.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Chief Revenue Officer.

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, match days, and other non-traditional hours as required.


Experience and Training

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sports management, communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • 1–2 years of experience in ticket sales, group sales, sales, customer service, hospitality, sports, entertainment, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in professional sports, collegiate athletics, entertainment, live events, or group sales is a plus.
  • Experience working in a goal-oriented or performance-driven environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in professional sports and/or sales.


Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods during match days and events.
  • Frequent use of computers, phone, and other office technology for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting or moving items up to 25 pounds (marketing materials, event signage, promotional items).
  • Ability to work both indoors in an office setting and outdoors in varying weather conditions during matches and community events.
