Position Summary
The Catering Server is responsible for delivering exceptional hospitality and ensuring a seamless guest experience throughout suites, club spaces, and event areas within the ballpark. This role includes setting up and breaking down catering stations and suites according to Banquet Event Orders, monitoring food quality and presentation, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment. The server works closely with supervisors and event staff to ensure smooth service, responds professionally to guest needs, and upholds all food safety and sanitation standards. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to multitask and work independently, and the physical capability to stand for long periods and handle items up to 30 lbs. A positive, customer-focused attitude and reliable attendance are essential.
This role will pay an hourly rate of $15.00 and is tip eligible.

Responsibilities
  • Read and understand Banquet Event Orders.
  • Provide exceptional hospitality to guests in suites, club spaces, and event areas throughout the ballpark.
  • Set up catering stations, buffets, beverage areas, and suites according to event specifications and presentation standards.
  • Assist with breakdown of catering setups, including disposing of waste and returning equipment.
  • Ensure that work is accurate and complete.
  • Monitor food quality, temperature, and replenishment levels during events; restock items as needed.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, runners, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
  • Initiate and maintain friendly and professional contact with guests, ensuring that all needs are anticipated and met.
  • Work closely with staff and deal often with patrons.
  • Handle guest concerns or special requests courteously and escalate issues to management when needed.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED is strongly preferred. Equivalent experience may be substituted.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in events, banquets, or restaurants preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain food handling and alcohol safety certification.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work independently during slower times.
  • Ability to help provide a safe and clean work environment for both the front and back of the house.
  • Must have a customer-focused, positive, and professional attitude.
  • Knowledge of basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects often.
  • Ability to work on a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • You must be punctual with consistent attendance.
