Getting a SLP CFY hospital job is a major step in the process of becoming a speech-language pathologist (SLP). The Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is a transition period of supervised training that occurs between graduating from school and starting to work independently, and it is a requirement for ASHA certification. You may help a patient develop their speech and language skills, teach a client how to adjust ur utilize their voice, and otherwise help manage communication disorders under the supervision and treatment of a senior SLP. In this role, you are no longer a student—the CFY focuses on a long-term evaluation of your skills. Other SLP CFY hospital jobs may include titles such as SLP supervisor and physical therapy assistant.
