Description


The Slot Attendant operates the Slot Change Bank and processes Slot Jackpots and Hand Pays in accordance with Squaxin Island Gaming procedure, internal controls, and rules and procedures of the Slot Attendant Department. Monitor assigned slot sections and create a memorable experience by providing an exceptional guest service.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain an accurate count of slot change banks, including paperwork accuracy and efficiency.
  • Process and assist with accurate payment of Slot Jackpots and System Hand pays, including accuracy and efficiency.
  • Interact with a high volume of guests in a cheerful and outgoing manner, building good guest relations.
  • Observe activity within the assigned area, offering assistance to slot players, and instruction on machine functions and payouts.
  • Respond to attendant lights, refill ticket paper, clear ticket and bill jams as needed.
  • Provide cash services for guests, including making change, providing payment for machine hand pays, jackpot hand pays and completion of tax forms.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Assist in maintaining safe and a spotless casino by keeping chairs pushed in, disposing of any cups, glasses or bottles left on the gaming floor by guests to promote a positive player environment.
  • Responsible for keeping assigned work area at peak operating condition by identifying and reporting damaged, non-compliant, unsafe, out of service or inoperable gaming machines or gaming machine components to the supervisor and slot technician personnel.
  • Capable of handling routine customer complaints and incidents, exhibiting appropriate discretions to identify situations that require the attention of Supervisory personnel.
  • Understand and utilize suspicious activity reports for casinos (SAR), when necessary.
  • Responsible for knowing all events in the property.

Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma, GED.
  • 6 months of direct customer service or job-related experience preferred.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must pass background check.
