SUMMARY
Under the immediate supervision of the Slot Manager Assistant, the Slot Technician maintains efficient operations of all Casino slot and video machines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other job-related duties may be assigned.
• Walks the Casino floor to spot machine malfunctions.
• Diagnoses slot equipment and ticket redemption kiosk malfunctions to determine necessary service repairs.
• Repair and maintain slot machines and ticket redemption kiosks; fix bill, ticket, printer, and hopper jams.
• Verify tampering incidents.
• Participate in clean-up duties.
• Participate in slot drops.
• Participate in the installation, movement, and removal of slot-related equipment.
• Maintain proper gaming logs/reports of all machine malfunctions and repairs during a shift to comply with state and or internal regulations.
• Maintains repair shop and related storage areas cleanly and safely.
• Organize parts storage area and effectively communicate with the slot parts inventory control technician to maintain proper inventory levels.
• Perform machine verification, audits, and tests as needed, maintaining proper documentation of all verifications, audits, tests, and maintenance.
• Provide exceptional service to our guests and team members when performing job duties and conduct oneself in a professional and businesslike manner.
• Interpret slot accounting/slot communication system issues as related to proper machine functionality/compliance.
• Review slot player tracking system data to determine whether slot machines or master meters need to be repaired.
• Observe players for use of illegal gaming devices and counterfeit coins.
• Act as host and answer patrons' concerns and questions related to slot machines, redemption kiosks, and casino promotions.
• Must understand and comply with departmental internal control regulations.
• The Casino is a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week operation; you may be required to work any or all shifts.
• Ensure interaction with guests is friendly, cooperative, and professional.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Operate hand tools, soldering equipment, electrical test equipment, and other equipment as needed.
• Ability to operate a handheld radio.
• Ability to operate business computers and office equipment, including in a Windows environment.
• Must be mechanically oriented and have demonstrated skills in slot machine repairs.
• Able to withstand prolonged walking and/or standing for extended periods.
• Able to lift, move heavy objects, and operate lift hand trucks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
• All applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Successful candidates will be subject to pre-employment ongoing random drug testing.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Associate degree in a related field or trade school, professional or technical certification, specialized training preferred
  • 1-year equivalent to at least CS-2, 6 months specialized work experience, 2 years work experience in a related field, or 2 years general or supervisory work experience
  • 1+ years of experience in the electronics field.
  • Computer experience would be a plus.
  • Must be mechanically and electrically oriented and have demonstrated skills in slot machine repairs.
  • One year of experience in the electronics field or 1-year electronic schooling.
  • Must be certifiable through the Arizona Department of Gaming / Tribal Gaming Office.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
In this position, the applicant may be subject to a work environment containing excessive noise, smoke, heat, humidity, and inclement weather. Applicant may also be subject to work in a confined space or small area.
