Position Overview

LTS is hiring a Slitting Operator II in West Caldwell, NJ. In this role, you will operate slitting and spooling equipment to process raw materials, medical tape components, and coated non-active/active drug laminates and films while following MBRs, SOPs, cGMP requirements, and safety standards. This is a great opportunity for a skilled production professional who takes pride in quality, accuracy, and teamwork.

Location: West Caldwell, NJSchedule: 6:15 AM - 2:30 PM (1st Shift)- Monday-Friday; occasional overtime available


Job Responsibilities
  • Operate slitting and rewinding equipment to process raw materials, medical tapes, and coated laminates and films.
  • Complete in-process checks and batch record documentation accurately according to manufacturing orders.
  • Set up equipment correctly, including wind direction and tension settings, in accordance with SOPs.
  • Use slitting tools and machine components safely and effectively, including scissors, crush, and razor knives.
  • Label, package, and prepare finished materials for transfer or shipment as required.
  • Clean equipment and maintain the work area in compliance with safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards.
  • Complete all aspects of the slitting operation, including in-process control activities and batch record documentation according to manufacturing orders.
  • Follow manufacturing procedures and support safe, efficient production operations as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 4-5 years of production or manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic math skills, metric conversions and ability to complete production documentation accurately.
  • Comfort using measuring tools, equipment, and manufacturing machinery.
  • Able to wear safety glasses, hearing protection, full face/half mask respirator, latex gloves, tyvek suit and other safety equipment as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in regulated manufacturing environments such as pharmaceutical, medical device, or related industries is a plus.
  • Core cutter experience helpful
