The Sr. EHS Manager will create, implement and monitor EHS strategies and programs to promote a safe and healthy workplace for SkyWater TX employees. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with state and federal legislation, identifying EHS related risks and resulting mitigations, and ensuring a positive safety culture.
Major Areas of Accountability
  1. Responsible for development and implementation of the Environmental (ISO14001) and Health & Safety (ISO45001) Management System, policies, processes, and prevention initiatives
  2. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and all related agency communication
  3. Provide site level representation with third parties, including neighboring businesses, local councils, and regulatory bodies including OSHA and the environment agencies
  4. Establish EHS objectives, goals, strategies, and key performance indicators in conjunction with affected business groups
  5. Develop and manage the EHS team, including the Emergency Response Team (ERT)

Minimum Qualifications
  • 7+ years' experience managing EHS programs, including people management experience

  • EHS experience in chemically intensive manufacturing industry

  • Experience in environmental management, permit and regulatory compliance including Air, Water and Waste

  • Technical experience in occupational health and safety with a strong emphasis in chemical safety/compatibility

  • Ability to apply EHS and regulatory knowledge to business decisions, including the development of implementation plans for applicable requirements

  • Strong ability to negotiate and manage people, equipment, and process changes relative to EHS

  • Ability to build, motivate and lead cross-functional teams to meet project objectives with a focus on measurable results

  • Strong computer literacy including Microsoft suite (excel, word, power-point)
