Some Sky Hotels may also refer to concept hotels that are suspended or elevated, providing a sense of being 'in the sky.' • Assist with fire and life-safety inspections, testing and documentation.
  • Respond to alarms, leaks, outages and other hotel emergencies.
  • Support snow removal, grounds maintenance and exterior inspections when required.
  • Communicate repair status, parts needs and recurring concerns to Engineering leadership.
  • Assist vendors and contractors working on hotel property.
  • Protect hotel assets and immediately report unsafe conditions or significant equipment concerns.
  • Perform other Engineering and property-maintenance duties as assigned.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Previous hotel, commercial-building, apartment, facility or property-maintenance experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and general repairs.
  • Ability to diagnose problems and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
  • Preventive-maintenance experience strongly preferred.
  • Hotel or major-brand experience is a plus but not required.
  • HVAC, EPA, pool-operator or other technical certifications are a plus.
  • Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional and courteous approach when working in occupied guest areas.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders and maintenance equipment.
  • Valid driver's license may be required.
  • High school diploma, trade-school training or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, holidays and on-call shifts based on hotel needs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb and work in confined or elevated areas.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.

  • Medical, dental and vision insurance for eligible employees
  • 401(k)

  • Employee assistance program
