POSITION SUMMARY
Friendly and personable folks needed for Host positions. Applicants will be considered for all Food and Beverage locations based on need, skills, experience and ability as necessary. Employee location will be established during the interview process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Perform shift opening tasks that include: setting tables, opening doors, set up service station, make sure all menus are stocked for all shifts
  • May be required to take and provide beverage orders
  • Bus tables and reset throughout shift
  • Perform shift closing tasks that include: bussing all tables, changing out dishware for next shift, roll silverware for adequate stock in restaurant
  • Print out guest checks as needed, close out and receive payments from guests to expedite service
  • Greet and seat customers and distribute customers evenly to wait staff
  • All job responsibilities need to be completed in a timely and efficient manner
  • Provide superior service to our customers (internal and external at all times and follow the Resort Etiquette Guidelines while interacting with the guest and respond to all guests in a courteous efficient manner)
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2 years of previous work history/education required
  • Basic knowledge of restaurant operations
  • Must be a minimum 16 years of age
  • Strong customer relations skills
  • Intermediate skiing/riding ability required for certain locations
  • Work and multitask in a high energy, fast paced restaurant environment
  • Adhere to all safety policies
  • Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s Service Excellence standards
  • Must have current Food Handler and Allergy training certificate, or must attend Food Handler and Aller-train certification courses for Alterra Mountain company within 14 days of employment

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.
Steamboat Springs area base hourly pay range: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour plus tips
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
  • Stand for long periods of time
