We evaluate options and identify opportunities and risks to support our customers' decision making. We assist with asset strategy and selection, business case preparation, concept and feasibility studies, technology evaluation, energy strategies and asset operational excellence.
Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:
  • Participate in designing and implementing automation systems for oil & gas and process industry projects, focused primarily on Functional Safety and Safety Lifecycle requirements.
  • Responsible for the development of deliverables within all phases of the IEC 61511 SIS Safety Lifecycle; namely development of Safety Requirements Specification (SRS), SIF SRS Datasheets, SIL Verification Calculations and SIF Proof Test Procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3-7 years of experience in Functional Safety within the process industry including, knowledge of IEC 61511 standard, development of Functional Safety Management Plan and participation in Safety Reviews (e.g. Functional Safety Assessments) preferred
  • PHA/LOPA experience preferred
  • Recognized Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical, Chemical, Electronics, or Mechanical or related field from an accredited College or University.
  • Innovative when appropriate.
  • Experience in Functional Safety
  • Exida (CFSE/CFSP), TUV or similar Functional Safety certification preferred
  • SIL verification calculations experience with at least one commonly used industrial software (e.g. exSILentia/ aeShield/ Kennexis etc) highly preferred
  • Experience developing Safety Requirements Specification and SIF SRS Datasheets
  • Experience developing SIF Proof Test/Validation Procedures
  • Excellent analytical and research skills, attention to detail, intellectual rigor.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
